I am fifteen, and my studio owner assigned me to choreograph five solos this year, and I am kind of at a loss of what songs to use. l asked the girls for any suggustions, but they said they wanted me to pick, or at least give them a few choices.
l need suggustions for a...
1. a jazz solo for an energetic 10 year old
2. A lyrical solo for an 11 year old who is amazingly emotional when she dances. It can be romantic.
3. A jazz solo for a 12 year old who is really strong technically but not overly energetic
4. A lyrical solo for the same 12 year old
5. A lyrical duet with 10 year old (one being the first jazz girl) and her twin sister
Thanks for any help!

Hi! l am a fellow teenage dance teacher- l am 16! l have a whole collection of dance songs that would be great for ur kids. Here r the ones l think (though l do have a whole big list!)
1. a jazz solo for an energetic 10 year old -Right About Now (Fat Boy Slim) -So Fabulous, So Fierce (Jocelyn Enriquez) -Just Dance (Lady Gaga) -Do not Stop the Music (Rhianna) -Wind It Up (Gwen Stefani) -U can not touch this (Crazy Frog) -Knock on wood (Amy Stewart)
2. A lyrical solo for an 11 year old who is amazingly emotional when she dances. It can be romantic. -Absence of Fear (Jewel) -Halleluja (Rufus Wainwright) -It is all coming back to me now (Celine Dion) -Hide & seek (Imogen Heap) -A new day has come (Celine Dion) -Daddy is Little Girl (Frankie J) -You Raise Me Up (Westlife)
3. A jazz solo for a 12 year old who is really strong technically but not overly energetic -Hit Me With Your Best Shot (Pat Benatar) -Jump for my love (Pointer Sisters) -It is raining men (Weather girls) -Take me on the floor (veronicas) -untouched (veronicas) -mercy (duffy) -good luck (basement jaxx)
4. A lyrical solo for the same 12 year old -Were in heaven (DJ sammy) -from a distance (bette midler) -The power of the dream (celine dion) -gods will (martina mcbride)
5. A lyrical duet with 10 year old (one being the first jazz girl) & her twin sister -what about the children (yolanda adams) -you raise me up (westlife) -forever young (youth group) -dear friend (stacie orrico) -will u be there (michael jackson) -bye bye (mariah carey) -can u feel the love tonight (elton john) -bridge over troubled water (anthony callea) -ben (connie talbot)
you could obviously also mix & match these songs to suit.
